Yes. Check with the register in the county where the birth certificate was registered. Or Google "name change xxxxx county, xx(state)"

Since Google bought Youtube in 2006. Youtube members are practically forced to make a Google/Gmail account on Create your Google Account . Here you need to fill a name, surname, a new e-mail address, 2x password , date of birth, gender and captcha.
After creating the Google account you can login on YouTube or just simply visit YouTube when your logged in your Google account.

I checked it right now, and you don't need to put a middle name.. These are the only things you need to input:

• Password: Your password must contain between 8 and 20 characters. Please enter a longer password.
• First Name: Please enter only letters, hyphens, spaces and commas.
• Last Name: Please enter only letters, hyphens, spaces, and commas.

• Home Telephone: Please enter a valid telephone number.
• Date of Birth : Please enter your date of birth.

You and your daughter need to go to the Office of Births Deaths and Marriages to arrange a name change, In Australia this can be done by Deed Poll.
