Question about Microsoft Internet Explorer 8
My IE8 does not load some parts of webpages anylonger. With Opera everything works fine, but in IE8 whenever a flash or a java part appears that part stays blank. I can not even access windowsupdate.com that page stays completly blank. On adobe.com the flash part does not appear. Trying to install flash again (it used to work, so that is not the problem) the information bar on the top (where you have to confirm to install the ActiveX Control) does not appear.
It used to work fine, but after a sytem crash and a system recovery this problem appeared. I heard from someone that it might have something to do with XML. That is the part that is missing in the loaded webpages.
The settings have not changed and even reinstalling SP2 and IE8 did not help.
I appreciate good ideas! I checked the web for two days, but did not find a solution.
I would lower my IE settings as far down as possible. I would also go to Internet Options/click on Settings located under Browsing History/click on the View Objects button and delete any corrupted or none working versions of flash and java. Then I would go to adobe.com and java.com to install new version of flash and java.
