That is normal. The condensate heater is on to prevent moisture from forming between the freezer and fresh food sections. It may get up to 120 degrees.

The unit has a auto defrost feature. Every six to eight hours these heaters come on to melt ice build up.The cabinet will feel warm to the touch during this cycle.If it is always hot, I suspect a stuck defrost thermostat
