When I attach charger (Model no LC2145B) to battery, red light comes on for couple of minutes and then goes out. Green light only comes of if I switch mains plug off and goes off if I detach it from battery. Please advise what should be happening. I am afraid, if I get it wrong, it might cause a fire. First of all I would make sure that the battery is in correctly. There should be an arrow on the battery that should line up with a plus sign on the battery door. Once the battery is installed correctly then place the camera on the charger and the light should be a solid red. If that still doesn't work then I would be more inclined to think that you may have a defective charger. I would call Casio repairs and see what they can do to help you.

JIM I HAVE SEEN THIS ISSURE MORE THAN A HANDFULL OF TIMES, THE MAIN PROBLEM IS A LOOSE WIRE TO THE MOTOR HEAD, POP OFF THE COVER AND INSPECT. IF THAT DOES THE TRICK THEN GREAT!!! IF NOT THEN U HAVE INTERNAL MOTOR ISSUES THAT WILL BE COST PROHIBITIVE TO REPAIR.

km, I'm having the exact same problem,...lamp housing is secure and so are all covers. From my research the power button will flash yellow when the covers are not secure. This is not my first time at replacing the lamp,...but now, after replacement, powers green flashing, then red flashing, followed by lamp flash red every 5 seconds,...research continues.................
