''Key lock on'' and can't eject dvd

My Citizen C479 dvd play is showing ''key lock on''. I have no idea how it got on and can't find a way to turn it off. I have tried unplugging it for periods of time, even over night with no effect. It plays the dvd but won't let me eject it. I have tried emailing the companies technical support but so far I haven't received and answer. Does anyone have any idea how to turn this key lock off and get the dvd out?

HP Pavilion DVD player won't eject but plays the dvd

NO PC told PAV means nothing, PAV is both laptop and desktops for decades 10,000 models,+
the button on the try must work, it's electrical.
NO OS told is it windows, is it w8? or w7 or vista or XP>
The OS windows , you open local explorer. (this PC)
and right click the DVD drive and pick EJECT. that too must work
both must,
some APPS lock the DVD, , say a DVD player of any kinds
power off the PC
and turn it on and hammer esc key and at the prompt click F1 or F2
and go to BIOS page 1.
now the front DVD tray eject works, (button physical)
if not the DVD drive is JAMMED.

Dvd, no eject disc

It sounds like your DVD is not getting any power to it. When you press the eject button does it show a power light for a second and then not move ? Also it is possible that some other DVD could have been in it and now it is blocking the door to open, look carefully at the door there should be a very small round hole on it you can use a paper clip straightened out to make a probe and insert it in the little hole and push you will have to push firmly and it should open the drawer. I hope this helps

Un-lock dvd region code

Power up the unit with no cd/dvd on the tray
Press "eject" on your remote to eject the tray
Press "setup" on your remote
Key in "5018" using your remote
Key in "0"
Press "play" on your remote

Tada~ a region free dvd recorder

Tried this but unfortunately the machine keeps reverting back to Region 4.

Has a step been left out or is there some other way of changing the code to "0".
