Your will have to hoist the engine before hand and when ready to unbolt the sump from its position,un bolt the engine mount bolts making sure that every thing is safe & no problems will occur also removing engine oils. Then lift the engine up alittle off its mounts & then you should be able to remove the sump successfully away from the cross member & other interferances that are in the way. If you don't have a hoist then a car jack can be used with a small buffer of wood or soft rubber to jack the engine up. But please becareful with your self under there. Remember the energy spent on the job is prepare 90% for your safety then 10 % for the job in hand.

& you don't need them

If your replacing a rusted out brake tube, you
fabricate & duplicate the part your replacing

Given some experience you really could pump
a complete vehicle from scratch

To be working on any product, you have to understand
how it works & how to diagnose & make repairs,of coarse
almost no one has the thousands of dollars in tools at home
to do much on a car

I see you said can't flair line correctly

If that skill is lacking or you do not have the correct
tools your done

Brake tubing is only avail at auto parts stores in different
lengths of straight tubing, as you probably know

No diagrams
No ready made what ever tubing your replacing

Shouldn't say this,but repair shops don't do well
with brake tubing & some don't want the job
They just lack the skills & patience to do a decent job

Unless you have skills and equipment for this job, leave it to the pros. It is a big job WITH the skills, tools and experience. BTW, This is also a very dangerous job ... considering the freon issue.

U have a heck of a job ahead of u,u have to take pretty much the whole front of the eng. off, and after u put the new timing belt on u have to make sure that ur eng. is at TDC,Top dead center,and ur marks on the timing gears r lined up..the best thing to do is go to a auto parts store and get a manual for your vehicle,this is a whole weekend job,and u will need the proper tools,Good Luck

This is a fairly complicated job I will get that out front right off the bat, unless you are at a minimum of intermediate skill in regards to auto repair I wouldn't advise it , the reason is these dual cam cars require much more precision when it comes to lining up the cam sprockets and crankshaft sprocket, I recently serviced a 2001 Honda CRV which involved a replacement timing belt/water pump (it is recommended you do both the belt and pump at the time of servicing) the timing mark at the crank sprocket was not marked in a precise manner so after reassembling the car did it not run right I rechecked the mechanical timing with the crankshaft pulley notch to the timing range marks on the front cover and found the mechanical timing to be off one tooth I had to take the front of the engine apart again and use the crankshaft pulley and front cover assembly as a timing line up reference guide instead of the marks provided on the engine block and sprocket, so you see even a skilled mechanic that has worked on cars for 25 years doing major engine repairs can run into problems with these newer cars. I am not saying you shouldn't attempt this job at all what I am saying is you should have a Haynes repair manual beside you to guide you through the job step by step and use the experience I had to do the job right the first time instead of doing it a number of times be very meticulous in regards to lining up crankshaft, cam sprockets and above all be sure you have the motor at TDC firing stroke, which means both intake and exhaust valves are shut when the crankshaft pulley mark line up to zero number on the timing cover plate near the crank pulley at the beginning of the job before disassembly.

run new line next to old and leave original alone..can use soft fuel line where it is not near heat and scrub/rubbing areas...good luck
