You need to contact a coffee technician that deals with Rancilio commercial machines. They would be able to trouble shoot.

But it would involve a call out to investigate the problem.

I have a rancilio epoca 1group. After I turn the steam wand off it keeps steaming. Would it need a new valve?

Hi Daren,
You could replace the whole steam valve wand but you don't need to.
The rubber grommet inside the steam valve is worn out and the tap wont close properly - that is why the steam is coming out.
You will find these parts with a commercial rancilio supplier.

Rancilio Silvia indicator light not turning off

Hi

There is a reset button inside on the front side of the boiler (you have to take the top of the machine off. There are 4 screws and remove the water tank). It is located between 2 black wires and is a red button. Push it in and test. There is also another problem that you might have. If the brew thermostat is bad it won’t heat. To test for this, push the steam switch and wait 15 seconds. Then open the steam knob and push the middle button and see if the water is warm. If it is then you need a new brew thermostat. That is the thermostat that has the red dot on the top. It sets on top of the boiler next to the steam thermostat. If you take the top off, make sure that the machine is unplugged.
If none of these things work check the heating element with an ohms meter. The reading in the terminals should be from 12 to 16 ohms. If no reading the elements is bad and you have to replace the boiler.

Grinder completely unresponsibe.

Hi
If you have tried opening the adjustment to a larger # and it still doesn't work. Well if the motor won't turn, I only hope the machine is less than a year old because the likely problem is the motor is bad. Sorry

Rancilio rocky grinder setting

to get starting point you adjust burrs to touch each other. when they touch each other you have finest grinding, after you hear metal voice you turn back 3 dots and grind only for 1 dose. you check it, if it goes to slow, you go one more back and clean gruinder, THAN you grind 1 dose more. 2 or 3 times and you will get perfect grinding.
