Question about Samsung SCH-u430 Cell Phone
I have a similar shutoff problem. The phone got dunked into some water for a second and now won't shutoff when one holds the "END" button the requisite 2 seconds. It powers down and then immediately powers back on. Everything else works AOK. Tried baking it at a low temperature with no help. What I would like to do now is take the beast apart and do a more thorough job of drying it out, possibly with the assistance of an alcohol scrub. However, I cannot get the darn thing apart. Took the battery out and unscrewed the 4 screws that "appear" to hold the back to the front but it only partially separates. Tried gently "squirting" it with compressed dry air thru the partially open back but still no help. What else is holding the back to the front together? Any other suggestions?
If you let it dry but turned it back on and it still doesnt work chances are its fried and cant be saved.
most phone are held down by screws but the plastic actually snaps together. using a sharp probe or very small ended tool you can pry it open and snap it apary
