Question about Welbilt MR755T Microwave Oven

Can't find fuse

Companies should not be allowed to sell units without having parts, such as a simple fuse for replacements. No where to be found.

Check the magnetron (each terminal to ground) and recheck the new capacitor. Check the door switches.

What amp and physical size do you need? Check a Radio Shack. They have a large assortment or they can steer you to the right place.

Where is the fuse for ge spacemaker jvm1320wb-002...the unit is totally dead...nothing works

It is time to replace the microwave oven, if the fuse is open you more than likely have a more serious problem that will be costly, companies only go back a few years when it comes to supply parts

Door does not click shut

This can usually be fixed--search the model number first for a service manual to see if it can be found---failing there contact the maker--if a good unit the cost for repair should be worth it. A lot of companies make better replacement latches etc then the unit came with.

It is also possible (I have seen this) there is a bulletin on this model for this and parts and or labor might be free.

We had a lighting storm a few days ago and now my Amana radarange will not do anything, can this be as simple as a fuze? and if so can that be replaced without removing from the wall? thanks, Dean

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
Yes it could certainly be the fuse and that is where i would first check and if it checks out good than you may have a fried controle board or even fried wires inside the microwave
You may even have a bad power inverter also ok
Sometimes the boards can be more expensive than the unit costs you originally so be wise to this ok
keep me posted on what you have found
best regards Mike

The magnetron may be OK, it could be as simple as a failed fuse or a high voltage diode or bridge.
Open the unit and if you have even a primitive multimeter you can check the diode and fuse: the diode will measure close to 0 Ohms, the fuse (remove from holder) will measure open, if bad.
The fuse will have a high amperage rating somewhere from 10-20 amperes; call appliance service companies or big hardware stores to find this. Buy two, so if one blows, you have a second on hand to use after possibly replacing the diode.
The diode may be tougher since a device with the necessary ratings of hundreds of volts and a dozen or so amperes aren't used in many devices.
Good luck-

I have a Maytag model MMV5156AAB

Okay, that loud humming sound you are hearing is coming from the unit trying to energize the magnetron. Depending on how old your oven is, it could be still under warranty (this is covered under the warranty, trust me). If it is an older oven, like 2 years or more, you can bring it to an appliance repair facility and instruct them to replace the magnetron.

I am telling you to take it to a facility because you as a consumer cannot buy a magnetron...the federal government will not allow appliance companies to sell them to you.

MY PANASONIC MICROWAVE SHUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY AFTER 3 OR 4 SEC

Sure sounds like it is losing power. First check the fuse and fuse holder. These companies are using really cheap fuse holders and they do not grab the fuse tightly, thye get hot and start to melt the fuse. Remove the fuse and look for signs of heat or flux running from the silver ends of the fuse. if you see signs of it being hot I would replace the fuse and fuse holder. Make sure ALL connections are tight and give it a try. I search long and hard to find fuse holders I like and can trust to do a long term repair. if you cant count on a part, the repair wont hold up and then Its MY reputation that suffers, Damn companies always choosing the cheap way out on making parts. When I started repairing Microwaves, a Home Microwave cost about 800.00 I see them sell at certain stores for 18.88!!!! how can you have good parts in there for 18.88?? Nobody makes things to last anymore. SAD!!! Fill The landfills and buy a new one. except the new one is Cheap Garbage!! Since it goes blank it sound like it is losing power. Always could be outlet you have it plugged into. Try different location first, on different breaker

I cleaned the inside of the microwave with soap and water and now it will not heat

There are normally two different fused circuits; one for the low-power electronics and another for the magnetron circuit which will be much higher amperage rating.
Pull the plug from the wall and allow the unit to sit for at least several hours; there are components inside that can keep a charge capable of giving you a nasty shock. Removing the back panel shouldn't require more than a Phillips screwdriver and once you have access, look for a fuse holder. These can vary in size but should be easy to recognize.
Unless you have a multimeter at home (everyone should- they are cheap and simple <$20 US) you will just have to buy replacement fuses and I recommend you buy two.
If the replacement(s) fail, the problem is too involved to cure without technical skills.
