SOURCE: Daylight Saving Time will not set correctly

Use this page to download a copy of CASIO watch manuals in PDF format. To download a PDF file, enter the four-digit (or three-digit) module number marked on the back cover of your watch.

http://world.casio.com/wat/download/en/manual/

You will need a pdf reader on your pc, you will find all instructions in there.

If you don't have a pdf reader you can get one from

SOURCE: how set time, daylight saving vs standard, etc.

Try this website.

http://world.casio.com/wat/download/en/manual/

Enter the 3 or 4 digit number from the back of your watch in the module box. The number will probablly be in a box and next to the model number of your watch.

The manual is .pdf format so if you do not have Adobe Acrobat reader or another .pdf reader installed on your machine, click on the link at the top of the called "Get Adobe Reader" and install it. Once it is install search for and download the manual. The manuals are all that obvious so you may have to read through several of the sections to find the information you need.

SOURCE: casio watch problem

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Offhand, I would say yes to the battery replacement. Though watches are not within my immediate field. This would be based on your post "2-5 minutes behind". As to the "lost signal" after a reset, may I request that you post back the specific model number pls.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Watch not showing correct time ,my location is set orrect

If your watch is 1 hour out it could be showing daylight saving time (DST).

If this is the case, then press the mode button until you reach DST and then use the one at 2 or 4 O'clock to turn it off or on as required.

4379 Radio Controlled 1 hour behind

It could be that you are still on daylight saving time (DST).

I don't know which make of watch you have but there should be a button marked "mode" press this until you reach DST and then experiment with the buttons to change it from on to off.

I have a Westclox, Calander Model 70026. I have set the clock several times to the correct time,(with the time zone at the proper setting) but, after a day or so, the hour reading, reverts back...

It's most likely because of Daylight Saving Time. Your clock receives a signal through the air once a day from the actual atomic clock, much like a cell phone receives the time from your cell phone service provider, and it automatically resets itself to the exact time each time it receives this signal. Remember that the middle of the year (the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November in the US) is Daylight Saving Time for much of the United States. The clock has an option that allows you to set whether you are observing Daylight Saving Time or not. If this is set to "off", the time will be one hour behind until Daylight Saving Time ends (November 7th). Make sure this is set properly, and your problem will be solved.

Crane & Villeroy watch (radio controlled) After fitting a new battery it shows the time 1 hour behind the correct time.

It sounds like your watch is on daylight saving time (DST) or it is set to the wrong time zone.

If you press the "Mode" button you will enter the settings menu and you should be able to change this by pressing one of the other buttons. Some experimenting will be needed.
