Question about Samsung CLP-510 Laser Printer
I have a clp-510, and it's been working very well for the past couple of years. But lately when I turn the switch on, absolutely nothing happens, no screen, no error message, no lights. Just like it's not plugged in (it is, and the outlet is working). Then I try awhile later, and it works fine for a couple of days, then dies all over again. Any thoughts?
I have the same problem. It has come back on after disconnecting the
power, opening up the right panel (while facing the manual feed tray)
removing the 2 screws and pushing slightly on the larger chips and all
the connections aroung the edges of the card. Not sure where the loose
connection is but just blindly pushing on them seems to work.

There are two possibly very different problems here.
Darkhorse892 probably has a power supply board with a 'dry joint' or faulty component - hence the 'leave it for a while and it works - for a short while.
Solution would be a replacement board - but there are two. A good used printer of the same type (so you can continue to use any consumables you have) might be the sensible and most economical way forward.
natrat Your problem should be fixed under warranty if it is only 2 months old !! Probably a faulty display/switch panel, or it has become partialy unplugged. Replacement display panels available on Ebay (where else!!) for a reasonable £15 GBP.

I went in to use my printer yester day (it is only 2 months old) and it would not print after checking the power and all of the other normal items I found that none of the lights were coming on and the screen on the front only had one black solid line across the top nothing else. I have plugged and unplugges, reset pulled everything apart and nothing helps can you give me any idea.

Samsung fuser units are very suceptible to voltage variations and get damaged easily. The fuser's thermofuse probably got damaged and became unable to read temperature. The only way to get it fis is to replace the fuser in an Authorized Service Center (ASC). Your unit has a 1 year complete warranty coverage by Samsung and any real ASC without charging you.
After the unit is fixed, get a good transient surge suppresor to help protect the unit. Good luck.
