Phone fell in water

If it's at the point where the screen isn't working properly, it's dead. If you have some kind of extended warranty, it may cover it, but there's no real way to bring it back from being water damaged, unfortunately.

My phone screen went blank after dropping in the toilet

You should have left it dry instead of turning it on, you probably have corrosion now, find a local place that works on phones to see if they'd work on it.

If you want to try to completely dry it, put it in rice for 24 hours minimum to draw out all moisture.

My phone fell into the toilet and I need to fix it

First thing is to ALWAYS remove the battery to prevent electrolysis.

Clean with de-ionized water (distilled) with battery removed.

LET dry thoroughly for a day or more before putting battery back in for trial.

Do not heat the unit to dry more than placing over a furnace register for slow gentle drying.

My cordless phone fell in the toilet, it worked briefly after it happened but now is dead. Anything I can do?

Once a piece of electronic equipment gets wet, you need to disassemble it, remove the battery and dry it carefully using a lint free cloth. Then use a hair dryer2_bing.gif to dry it out. Do not put the hair dryer too close as you could overheat and damage the item. If you wait too long to do this, the water may have already fatally damaged your phone as things begin corroding quickly. Good luck!

I dropped my samsung behold in the toilet help!

IMMEDIATELY - remove the battery - place your phone is a freezer bag with some white rice and let it sit there for a couple days. Leave the bag open in the corner and sit it in a sunny window.

I don't hold much hope for recovery. Others may have ideas that you want to consider as well

My motorola razr fell in the toilet. yes, i know

You might try removing the battery pack and sim card then placing it in an area of warm air flow. If the mineralization in the water in which you dropped it wasn't too high, it might recover after several days. It's worth a try and the price is right-

Quickly remove the battery and unplug the device, If possible, put it in a container or dry rice and let it set for a couple days. this should work, when it is dry remove from rice and see if it works... Do you have insurance?

MY NOKIA N81 FELL INTO THE TOILET!! I QUICKLY DRIED IT FROM THE OUTSIDE, OPENED IT, REMOVED THE BATTERY AND SIM CARD, AND DRIED EVERYTHING AS MUCH AS I COULD, AND LET IT REST ON PAPER, SCREEN AND KEYBOARD...

Place everything into a plastic bag with uncooked white rice. let it sit for a few days.
Buy a new battery if yours is toast and put it all back together and try it.
Thats the only way to know if it is dead or not.

My phone got wet in the washer machine

When that happened to my phone I was able to open it immediately and set it in an area near my oven to help dry it out. It worked for my samsung phone but not my razor. The samsung was in a front loading washer whereas the razor fell in a (clean)toilet bowl. That may be the biggest difference.

Nokia N70 fell in the toilet

To help drying out the phone, I suggest taking the phone apart. (i.e. battery, sim card, back cover, etc) putting it all into a container of rice, Use a container that you can put a lid on. Let the phone set in the rice for a couple of days. The uncooked rice will draw the moisture out of the equipment. This will dry it out, but whether or not it shorted the unit out is your next step.
