Dell vostro 1000 to TV via VGA to Svidio(yellow, red, white) cable
The Dell Vostro 1000 comes with a VGA connection only. I wish to
playback films through a my television with an S Video
connection. I have purchased a VGA to S Video conversion cable but the
laptop refuses to recognise the attached television (tapping F8 simply
gets a No external display attached message). I have also tried
changing the Display Settings in the Control Panel but again the laptop
does not recognise that an external display is attached. Please Help

Try to do this: (Draining flea power) 1. Unplug the ac adapter (if connected) 2. Remove the battery 3. Press and hold the power button for at least 10sec. 4. Put back the battery and ac adapter 5. Turn it on
- check if you can now boot to windows, if not there could be a hardware problem and next step would be running some diagnostic test on the computer for hardware problem.
Try disable, then re-enable the driver, if still no luck, try to locate the wireless adapters properties an check to see if all is in order, ch, SSID, everything must match to the wireless signal. (by the way where is the signal coming from ?) your router ? or else where ?
