I would find out if your bluetooth which is 2.1 edr technology would pair with a cell phone whose bluetooth is 2.0. That may be the reason why you can't pair it.

I can't get my Plantronics 390 Explorer headset to pair with my new LG Octane phone!

You want to make sure there are no other bluetooth devices installed on your phone that might be interfering with the pairing process. Disconnect the battery from your phone for about 30 seconds and reconnect (to reset the phone). Then follow the pairing instructions found on pages 3-5 of this link for the Plantronics Explorer 390 User's Guide.

Calls, incoming and outgoing, automatically go to Plantronics 390 even though it is turned off at the headset.

From our research, you want to make sure that the headset is indeed turned off. You may need to re-pair the headset to the phone. Here is the link for the instructions on how to do it (pages 4, 5).

HOW DO I GET MY 390 PLATRONICS TO WORK WITH MY LG VERIZON PHONE.

First, remember that newer phones are like small computers, so they may become corrupt over time and you may need to reset them every so often. Simply turn your phone off and remove again the battery for a few seconds, then replace the battery and turn it back on again. Also, make sure there isn't any other bluetooth interference. Then follow the pairing instructions on pages 3-5 from the link below for the Plantronics Explorer 390. Hope this helps.

I am having problems connecting my plantronics explorer 390 to my black berry curve

First turn your Blue Tooth setting to "ON" on your Black Berry Curve, as it searches for a Blue Tooth Device, Push and hold on the middle button of the Blue Tooth until you see a flashing "blue light & red light." It's important that you see both flashing lights.

What is the pin# for the Plantronics Explorer 390. I just purchased this new and threw away the whole packaging.

lorrett143

The pin is 0000 for the Plantronics Explorer 390. I also have included the instructions if you need them.

To put the headset into pairing mode:

1 - Start with the headset powered off.
2 - Press in and hold the Call Control Button (on/off button) until the headset flashes red, blue, red, blue.
3 - Tell your phone to "Find the new Bluetooth device" (see the User Guide or call a local phone store).
4 - If the phone asks for a User Code or passkey, enter 0000 (four zeros).
