Go to ebay. they are cheap there. put in search hp pavilion f1723 lcd and you are in business. they should run you about 80-120 dollars. most places that sell them on there have a generic tutorial in how to replace them

Good Luck!

okay. what information you need is the model. that is located usually on the from of the lcd on the bottom right corner. what is that and i will find it for you?

okay, got information for you. lets start with the bad. this monitor is discontinued. parts through Hp for this unit are unavailable but the specs are there.

I purchase some items from a vendor that has the item in stock, but like most lcd replacements parts are not that cheap. laptop lcd screens are pretty reasonable but for monitors it goes up, this exact part you can find it here

    http://www.partstore.com/Part/Hewlett+Pa...

this is the actual part number
    P9623-69101

its a new part. i have check'd all my other vendors with no luck. but here is a solution to the problem, just not a feasible choice if the monitor lcd has broken.

when i repair lcd/plasmas this is the cost i have to weigh in against what the lcd/plasma is actually worth. If the cost is high, i part out the lcd/plasma.

    Good Luck!

Have a hp pavilion tx2000 laptop. outer screen is cracked but display is fine. can i replace just the cracked part and still have touch screen?

hi.
yes, of course.
you can visit a service center of HP Company and ask for "Shield or Cover Screen". (they ask you the exact model of your laptop)
and they will give you a cover screen which should be installed by yourself.
it's easy and cheap.
need more? only ask!

Hp pavilion dv9000 blackscreen and no chimes but works with spare monitor

Change settings of video card. Sounds like your spare monitor drivers are correct but other monitor are not. Other possible that it recognizes the spare monitor as the default and disables the on board monitor. Try restarting without the spare attached. It will have no choice but to change on board monitor to default

Screen crack on my laptop

Most authorized service centers for computer repairs can get an accurate quote on parts and labour for your model of computer. You can also check www.mundocorp.com and see if your model of computer has a listing for parts here as well, if you wanted to perform the repairs yourself, and you may be able to get a slightly better deal than ordering the part from the manufacturer directly.
