I have a Phillips Magnavox 9p6034CI, no picture but I have
power. I watch it 2 days a go, now no picture. Could it be picture
tube or a blown fuse? Help, need a little input from the expert.
TV is about 9 years old. Looks brand new.

the coolant in the blue and green crts has congealed which is causing the red tube to become dominate. The coolant can be changed at home. You can get the phillips coolant replacement kit at the following link which contains the coolant and the CD with instructions. http://www.tvrepairworld.com/
The coolant needs to be changed in the CRTs ( picture tubes) this is a very common problem with all phillips and magnavox rear projections. Changing the coolant will restore the color and brightness and stop the halo effect. You can get the phillips CRT coolant kit at the following link and it includes all the coolant and the step by step instruction CD with pictures. Its actually a fairly easy job. Heres the link its listed under the repair Kit category. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
If this is a rear projection you may need to clean the lenses and mirror and try adjusting the contrast. If it is a direct view your picture tube maybe going soft (bad). If it's a Phillips/ Magnavox change CRT coolant.
Good Day, pklove;
Green glow and double picture? Sounds like you may own a Phillips/Magnavox. If you do the TV has an convergence problem and a picture tube fluid problem.
I would say that you should call an Authorized Service Center to come to your home and give an estimate before any service is rendered.
One of the most common faults with the phillips rear projections is the coolant in the tubes. That can and will make the picture very dim and can cause the brightness and focus controls not to have much affect over it. Please respond to this same post with your model number and I will check to see if their are any other items that could cause that symptom.
