The memory card slot ratchet is faulty: it does not click in place. This needs to be replaced. I won't recommend repairing a camera by yourself because there are miniature screws and soldered wires inside. You need to go to a camera repair shop.

The memory card is not readinng

Did you put it the right way around? Almost impossible to put it in the wrong way, but I don't know how strong your thumb is.
Then check is all connection points are clean and shiny, and straight. Not one should be bent or out of line. Also check in the camera. Look if perhaps some dust or paper is in the memory card holder. Check is the memory card holder / battery door locks correct.

How can i transfer video from my DCR-700x to PC

Find the memory card in the device then take it out and into a slot some where in your computer. if you don't have a memory card you need to but one then slot it in to the camera load the pictures onto it then put it in the computer. if your computer doesn't have a slot then you can buy USB sticks with a memory card slot in then simply slot the memory card in and put the USB stick into the computer and load the files.

The memory card slot feels tighter than usual. after i put in the memory card and turn on the camera, i get the message of "no memory card."

Make sure you are inserting the card in exact manner as illustrated in the camera manual or near card insertion slot.
Try to check into the memory card slot if any of the contact pins are not damaged.

You should make sure the memory card slot does not have dust in it and you should also try putting the memory card into another computer,to see if it will work if it do not work the memory card is bad.

My son got a vivitar 8025 and it wont take pictures it keeps telling us the card is protected. What does this mean and how do we fix it?

did you put an sd memory card into it? this camera will not take pics without an sd memory card (it did not come with any memory to hold pics on the camera itself). the memory card needs to be inserted into the slot right next to the battery:)

My playstation keeps saying to put in a memory card.. even though I have done

did you try reading the memory card without any game discs put in via the ps2 menu?

is your memory card working properly? could be a corrupted memory card or a faulty memory card slot.
try putting a friend's memory card on that same slot.
if it works... then your memory card is gone bad...
if it doesnt work...then your memory card slot has gone bad.

else try putting your memory card in your friend's ps2, see if that ps2 reads your memory card. if it does...then your memory card slot has gone bad.

My camera keeps reading memory card error, i took it to the shop and they put a new memory card in and it still read memory card error

Take a look inside your camera's CF card slot. I suspect that you may have a bent pin in there. If so, don't fret. Although professional repair would be more costly than the value of the camera, there is a very good chance that you can repair this yourself. Please see this.

Have put in a memory card, But camera keeps displaying memory card full

Try reformatting the card. Use your camera to do it, not a computer.

i had a similar problem with a canon once, some cards have to be pushed in very hard, (not fast, just hard) it seems like it cant go, but push very hard and it should click in
