It sounds like your saying the Connector on the motherboard came off.and your fan is not running. If this is the case, it is best to buy another Motherboard. You can get parts on Ebay. Also fans assembly.

If you have trouble you can send your PS2 to a Repair shop. Click on "Repair Directory" at the bottom of this screen. then choose "Video Game Consoles". Then you pick a Good Repair shop. My shop is listed, but I cannot divulge the name in this forum. Cost will be $25 plus shipping. Shipping is usually $8.95 to the USA

Toshiba e 2040c power shut down and on itself frequently

Sounds like the graphics chips, or processor is overheating & shutting down. Check that the cooling fans are running & they are clean from dust, dirt, or hair. Check that the cooling vents/ports are also clean & not blocked.

My cooling fan on my HP Pavilion 23 touch screen desktop has the cooling fan running constantly now? Why would this happen all of a sudden?

It's possible that either the chip it's cooling is running hot. The heat sink inside may be covered with dust preventing the chip from being cooled. It also might be dust on the fins of the fan itself causing the extra noise.

You should have it checked out and cleaned to prevent possible damage and fan failure.

Monitor won't turn on

Your video chip over heated and popped up. This happens when the cooling paste runs out and dust bunnies start to form inside the fan. This is a comment problem with the DV2000, DV6000, DV9000 and a few other models HP has. They're a few youtube videos that show you how to reflow the video chip yourself. You have to take the motherboard out and heat up the video chip. Heating gun is the best way. You'll also need some cooling paste and don't forget to clean out the fan from dust bunnies. It will last maybe around 3 months to a years before you have to do it again. Also buy a laptop fan. Hope this helps

Random shutdown indicates the cooling fan and additional parts need to be cleaned. The laptop must be dismantled down to the motherboard level, remove cooling fan, heatsink and use a can of compressed air to blow out all the ports and fan. Next use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to remove the old thermal grease and replace with new.

Its overheating and shutting down after maybe 15-20 minutes

Almost certainly a clogged cooling fan , vents or build up of dust on the cooling fins. You will need to gain access to the CPU fan and remove the heatsink assembly, blow all dust out of the cooler matrix, clean the fan blades and the cooling vents. Clean off any thermal paste on the cpu and regrease with new paste, refit and reasemble.

You CAN cut corners by cleaning it "in situ" but a thorough cleaning is advised.

Eventually if not cleaned, teh graphics chip will fail with overheating

Acer Aspire 9815WKHi Graphics Card was getting very hot, also the processor gets extremely hot, the fan is working, but cannot keep this computer cool and this has caused the graphics board to stop...

No it is not normal for the graphics to fail unless the heatsink and fan are so badly clogged.
The cpu will stand temperatures of up to 90 degrees but, it gets the main body of the cooling and the graphics chip does not get as well cooled, what happens is the graphics chip then suffers and the solder "bed" it is fixed by melts and the chip detaches.

You may be lucky and by cleaning out the cooling components get it working, but I suspect the motherboard has been damaged now

Wine cooler displays temperature setting but does not run or cool wine.

It's 1 of 3 things...

A. The fans are not turning. Remove the back, and see if the fans are getting 12 volts, and spinning freely. Remove them and clean off the dust from the heat sink.
B. The Peltier Chip is shot. If the fans run, check for 12 volts on the power connector that's on thelower left of the curcuit board. If there's power, but no cooling, the Peltier is shot. These are available from E-bay for ~$13, but it's a major dissassembly to get it out.
C. If you don't get 12 volts to the fans or the Peltier chip, replace the circuit board.

My Sony laptops cooling fan making noise. at about one hour after I turned it on, turning off it self. how can I fix it

From your description I would be certain that the is a faulty fan and it is not cooling the CPU chip properly. When the CPU over heats the CPU shuts down (this is known as a thermal shutdown) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this fault is not fixed then eventually the CPU chip will fail.
Replace the faulty fan to fix this problem.

I just bought Eaton UPS ENV1000H. I would like to disconnect the cooling fan as at night-time it makes an annoying hum. What are the risks if I just use the computer maximum 5 hours and then put the UPS...

I would never disconnect a cooling fan , overheating fries chips. Find a cooler place to stand your machine lots of space around it and near the flooor, if that doesnt work. remove the fan and clean it thoroughly especially the blades, then clean the air vents to your device.
