unfortunately yes it can be expesive but if you can contact a good repairer see what they say

it may do if its seeming to go away if the water wasnt contaminated you may get luck try having the tv on for a few hours and let the screen warm up and the rest may evaporate

If this is a rear projection TV then the water most likely the water has been sucked up between the lenticular and fresnel lenses of the TV. You most likely will have to replace the lenses as a pair.

It will dry up, but it will leave a white film behind as most hard waters do. The lenses are not for just anyone to replace as most Hitachi LCD projection TV's require allot of disaembly to replace the screens (lenses)

Son sprayed cleaner on tv.

I have not a clue what to tell you, but doubt the cleaner is the cause of this. In any case the TV is so old you will not be able to get parts.

Cleaning lenses on projection tv

Have the set unplugged please.

CAN BE DONE FROM REAR--from the front is a bit tricky and dangerous---from rear with rear cover removed locate the three large black lens( hard to miss them) and clean them with a lens cloth or a paper towel with glass cleaner sprayed on it.

Depending on how much dust===should be done one time a year.

Children sprayed water on 46" lcd TV, and it looks

Oh dear! I would check your household insurance if it was an accident, just in case a replacement is required.
Most items that get wet rarely recover without problems.
The water should not be able to get into the screen as it is a sealed. If the water has not entered the TV, you may get away with wiping the screen with an almost dry cloth that has dilute detergent on it, (washing up liquid and warm water is fine). That will remove the streaks.
Good luck!

Tv and gum

get a bottle of canned air, about 10 bucks. hold it upside down, and spray the liquid on the gum(despite what the directions tell you to do). gently pell off from one side of the gum, constantly spraying underneath the gum so it stays frozen. follow up with windex, or a normal LCD screen cleaner. Be careful not to get the liquid on your skin, as it can cause 3rd degree burns, and in worst cases, FROSTBITE. Trust me I know(1 Freshmen + 1 bottle canned air X 1 senior = pain for both parties) What this does, is freeze the sugar molecules in the gum from contracting when it is pulled by freezing them to a near sub zero temperature.

Hitachi 57f710s

Sounds like a video board problem. May also be the convergence board. You might get some freeze spray ( a component cooler that comes in a spray can ) and while the set is on, spray the boards and see if the problem temperarly corrects. This is to isolate the problem. Once the problem is isolated, you can change the bad component. Good Luck

TV Screen

There should be 2 to 4 screws, depending on the model, to take out on the bottom of the screen assembly, then you lift the entire screen up and pull it out towards you. Good Luck

How to solution from behide my tv screen?

remove the front speaker grille, and then you will see a couple screws along the botton edge of the screen assembly. remove those screws and then grasp the screen assembly and slide it up to disengage the screen assembly retaining clips. Be sure to unplug the wire clip from the control buttons before completetly removing the screen frame.
