My 3 year old monitor has started making a strange ticking and crackling sound intermitently, otherwise is working ok but the screen sometimes goes blank for about 2 seconds when the screen is moved on its cantilever mount.
Anybody have any ideas?
John
Crackling sounds are probably due to a couple of capacitors failing due to age, on the control board. (They can also "whine"). Should be easily replaceable by any experienced technician. Not a difficult job.
