I have used it approximately three times and no longer work when plugged in an outlet. I have checked the electricity and have added water.

This is my second Shift(3) has the first one leaked water.

Design flaw: got it as a gift, and it leaked water. got a replacement, and it leaked water from the exact same spot. My guess would be that the water leaked into the wiring and shorted out. I still have mine, but empty it after each use.

How can I get my steamer to work again? Orange light comes on but nothing else

Make sure you didn't knock off a wire to the heating element when you had it open. Also put a couple of cups of whitevinnegar in it and leave it for an hour or two. This will dissolve the scale build up. If it doesn't get hot thenthe element is probably burned out. There is a limit switch held against the tank too. It can stop the heating element if it goes bad.

Blown fuse

If the fuse you are blowing is in your fuse box in house then your steamer is using more power than the fuse can carry. Move to an outlet powered by a larger fuse. Do not recommend changing fuse to a larger amp fuse because this could cause a fire hazard.

Rowenta 1500 garmet steamer no longer makes steam

Someone else had this fix and it worked for me: (yay!)
*Remove water tank and collapse the hanger bar.
*Remove two screws at base of hose and work the hose off. It will come out.
*Unplug unit and hold over your kitchen sink with the hose inlet pointing into the sink.
* use your kitchen sink sprayer to forcefully spray water into this hole and it will come back out again releasing the gunk that has been stopping up the unit.
* for good measure, I also used the sink sprayer to flush out the hose.
Put everything back together. And make sure it is dry before you plug it in.
VOILA!!! WORKS GOOD AS NEW. HAPPINESS!

We have a TI150 wrinkle free steamer, and we need the water reservoir cap. Can anyone help us locate one, thank you.

It was very easy to fix the problem. We just substituted a wine cork for the plastic top and it works great. It did not take a brain surgeon or a group of people to help us. Just good ole American ingenuity.
