Question about Samsung HLN567W 56" Rear Projection HDTV
One week ago two 1/8 inch dots showed on tv. Next day there were 8 dots. Six days later I now have over 100 dots. TV will soon be unusable.
What needs to be replaced?
Has anyone replaced this item before?
Can I do it myself?
Random dots or pixels failing on a DLP TV will be a bad DMD chip. This is a technician replace item only. The chip runs around 160 dollars list price. The part number will depend on which version the set uses and will be determined by the technician.
