Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

Kodak ESP 3 printer does not print YELLOW

My 13month old printer also stopped printing yellow. If replacing the print heads on a Kodak ESP 5100 won't correct the problem, what will? Are we talking about a 12month guarantee and end of life machine?

Our ESP 2170 printer has stopped printing yellow. I have tried everything - replaced the printhead, replaced the ink cartridges, run the cleaning option several times, calibrated the printer, run several...

If you get a working print head, run a test print every 3 days or so. I do this on a regular basis to keep the ink from drying out and have yet to have a clogged head using this method. Before replacing the head a couple of months ago, I did not do this and after a week and a half, the head clogged beyond the capacity of the printer to self-clean.

Hope that helps,
Bax

Kodak esp 3250 printer only printing in blue and yellow

Hi,

According to your problem first check your printer setup. You may have to change the black ink cartridge. But first clean the head of the printer and align the cartridges.

Printing problem

lynchfam3 it is problem with the print head so call you can do is print head cleaning and make sure you are using genuine kodak ink cartridge and if still the same issue then try and use the printer in standalone mode i.e try and copy something and check if the image quality is still the same or not if yes then it is print head issue and you need to contact kodak tech support they will replace it for you without any charge.......

How to clean printhead

you did not specify the printer model but make sure you never ever clean the print head with any damp cloth or paper or anything coz if you do then you would end up damaging the print head............if it is a kodak printer except 5100 and ESP 3 then press the menu button on the printer and go to clean print head and in ESP series it is under maintenance and press ok on it and do a basic clean.......if it is 5100 or ESP 3 then open home center and click on the question mark on the top right of the home center and click on maintenance on the right hand side and there would be the option to clean the print head...........you can use the home center option with all the kodak printers but as there is not LCD on 5100 and ESP 3 so it is always done from the home center........let me know if this was helpful........

Kodak EasyShare 5500 will not print yellow!

I had the same problem with my kodak easy share and many of the kodaks were being recalled. As the printer head would mess up. Thank goodness I still had warranty on mine and Kodak trashed and replaced with one same value. I went with a whole different brand and does much better.
