No, don't do that, you are going to blow the capacitor and hurt yourself. You need a Bleeder resistor, which means get a big resistor (possibly a few, in case you burn one out, they are cheap) from radio shack and touch the two spade connectors together with the resistor and you will discharge it, NEVER use a screwdriver to short a capacitor. Let me know how this turns out.
