Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Have kodak easyshare 5100 all in on printer and has always been great until now. When i buy new ink cartridges, copies have lines in them even still after i run maintenance, printhead cleaning and stuff. What else can i do to get a good printed copy on this thing?

Its actually the head having the old dried up clogged ink. Head cleaning is only way out and you do have to do it a number of times. The other thing is to get "cartridge flush" ink .. which is a cartridge plugged in and printed a semi transparent liquid and you see all the coloured gunk streaks on the top of the page..

to fix up such problem
Clean the printhead, then print and
  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Printhead Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo + Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet
and you have to Replace ink cartridges.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are using KODAK Ink Cartridges. Your KODAK All-in-One Printer is designed to work with KODAK Ink Cartridges. Kodak is not responsible for the compatibility or performance of either non-Kodak brand ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. To purchase KODAK Ink Cartridges, go to KODAK Ink Cartridges & Photo Value Packs.
  1. Lift the printer access door, then remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  2. Insert new KODAK ink cartridges into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear the cartridges click into position.
  3. Close the printer access door, then make the same print.

no,both ink cartridges should be installed into the printer.buy new ink cartridges from kodak online store if u want to buy.

Kodak 5100 AIO won't print after cartridge change


the red blinking light indicates that your printer wont recognize your ink carthridge. you can try to reseat the carthridge and the printhead. to remove the printhead just press on the release tab which is located on the upper left corner of the printhead wall. If this will not correct the issue, you need to call their technical support hotline. maybe the carthridge is faulty or there is a problem on the printhead. their hotline no is 1 800 421 6699

Printer not printing black ink


Contact Kodak with your problem. The problem is in the print head. Kodak will send you a new print head free, then follow the instructions that are inclosed to change the print head. DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE IT WITHOUT READING THE INSTRUCTIONS. You may damage the new head and they will not replace it a second time for free.

Printer cartridge for Kodak 5100 in India


Hello akpunj, 

So far, there are no other ink cartridges that might be compatible with the Kodak printers, and even if you refilled the ink cartridge, it wouldn't help because of the smart chip they have.

Honestly, I think your best shot is to find somewhere else where kodak is selling this printers and where it will be cheaper for you to have them sent in.

5100 will not copy


call the tech support finally got a number....
Troubleshooting with the Kodak tech (1-800-421-6699 US & Canada)
my printer would not print black and copy was almost blank....they are sending me a new
printhead....it looks like there are alot of issues with this printer.
but I love the value

Contact Kodak! I had similar problem after a paper jam. I phoned three days ago and this morning, a new printhead arrived along with two new cartridges. Have installed the printhead and printer is printing beautifully! Thank you Kodak! Great customer service!

Printer will not work


I have a kodak 5100 it worked fine until I changed the black ink then it would only print 1 line called kodak yesterday at 9 am and they said they would send new printer head and new ink..it arrived this am and now printer is working fine. I think they know there is a big problem and need to do a recall.Did not think they would act so fast but they did.
