Question about Audiovox D2010 Portable DVD Player with Screen
Have an Audiovox portable DVD player, who plays fine. Problem is that, from the moment you turn it on, the screen has small horizontal lines moving across. It makes no difference if it is playing a DVD or not. You can still see the movie, but the lines are distracting. HELP?
Your unit may have a loose connection from motherboard to the display (video cable inside the unit), another distinct possibility is that the video processor chip is damaged or there is a power supply problem for the video chip (a bad electrolytic cap or similar somewhere around the video IC).
You can check the connection, but you'll need to take the unit apart, also check other connectors, but if it's an IC problem, this could get difficult or/and costly.
Please note that these are only suggestions and that the problem may as well be something else.
