Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
I left tom tom in glove box and on return journey it wouldn't pick up sattelites. On return home I reset to factory settings , losing all stored data. Reconnected to PC and uploaded maps again and it seems to have fixed problem. I am guessing overheating of some sort in glove box caused problem.
Definitely!never ever keep GPS in glovebox or center console heat in cxars goes above 140 degrees in summer and can cause meltdown and distortion of plastic as well as total destruction of SD cards It also kills off memory.
If you are goiung to store a GPS for any period place it in a place away from magnets heat and extreme cold ( heat and cold also destroy batteries)
