Procedures depend on where you are, but you will probably need a doctor's certificate to begin with.

With your prostate, I have been down that same path. I don't know what advice you have had from the doctor so far, but with me the doc's first steps were a blood test, and a camera up my w e e nie, to check for cancer.

Once cleared he put me on Flomaxtra, which eased things for 2 years or so. As predicted the problem returned though, and then I had my prostate bored out with a holmium laser. It was very successful. So I'd recommend that to you, subject to medical assessments.

I am not sure, but I think if you could get doctors note confirming your condition, you could be excused, but because its law you go on jury duty when called up, you are probably best to find out which court you are to attend and give them a call and explain and see if they could tell you if you have a medical reason for not attending, what prove would the court need to maybe cancel your duty. hope that's helped you abit

What is the maximum age for serving on a jury in Grayson,County, Kentucky?

Hello, William -

I have no idea why you posted your question on Fixya.com, a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS.

You could easily have made a telephone call to your local public library and asked a reference librarian to look the information up for you. (Your taxpayer dollars at work.)

This is the link to the state of Kentucky information regarding juries:
https://courts.ky.gov/juryduty/pages/faqs.aspx
There seems to be no upward age limit on jury service. One must be at least age 18 to serve on a jury (any jury) in the state of Kentucky (any county.)

Also, see the information here:
https://www.elderlawanswers.com/called-for-jury-duty-you-may-be-excused-based-on-your-age-15650
The ages for exemption from jury duty for the states are provided in that article. Kentucky is not listed.

I am a librarian by profession.

Best wishes.

I am down to do Jury Duty commencing next Monday, I am however not well and yesterday my Doctor provided me with a medical certificate. What do I need to do?

Where are you located? Here in Louisville, you could show up and present the certificate, probably call or mail them. But I doubt you could mail in time to be excused.

I need to be excused from jury duty

If you look on your jury summons or go to the county web page, it will give you a list of reasons why you can be excused. HOWEVER....jury duty is an honorable thing to do for any citizen.
