yellow triangle means that your network connection is limited

it could be because of router.

Usually i made settings on router at wireless ------ channel, not letting in auto mode. Set it to channel 2 or whatever.

Also verify if wireless is enabled on router.

    Your internet should work

Error code 80072745

From the Microsoft web site at: http://messenger-support.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!8B3F39C76A8B853F!13931.entry?sa=240159924
December 11 Error: 80072745 If you are encountering the error code 80072745 when you sign into Messenger try the following: 1. If you are connected to the Internet through a router, remove the connection to the router. Then, directly attach the network or modem cable to the computer. This will help determine whether the issue is related to a firewall setting on the router. Try to sign in to Messenger after you connect to the Internet. If you can connect to Messenger after bypassing your router, the issue may be related to router settings. Try resetting your router (Note: This may revert your settings back to factory default settings and may delete all your custom settings.). Please contact your router manufacturer's Help documentation or customer support channels to determine how to reset your router or enable port 1863 through the router firewall. 2. If you are signing in from a corporate environment, contact the network administrator to determine whether port 1863 is being blocked inside the network.
3. If you have Zone Alarm with IM Security installed on the computer, turn off IM Security for Messenger: 3.a. Right-click the Zone Alarm icon in the notification area, and then open the Control Center.
3.b. Click IM Security or click Security to open the IM Security settings window.
3.c. Click the Main tab or the Status tab.
3.d. Slide the Protection Level slider to Off to turn off IM Security.
Note: This procedure will change the IM Security settings for any instant messaging programs that are installed on the computer.
3.e. Sign in to Messenger again to determine whether the issue is resolved.

4. If you are connecting to the Internet using a Wireless Data card through a mobile phone network, please contact your mobile internet provider to verify if you need to additional data plans that enable you to connect to the Messenger service.

(if the problem is with the wireless internet, then maybe ur Internet Card, inside ur PC is broken or needs to be rebooted) HOPE THIS HELPS!

Inconsistancy with internet connection

Hope below instructions will help....

Fact 1: You will not be able to use MSN messenger if your computer is
connected behind the router.

Issue: This is due to a compatibility bug between Upnp and NAT.

TROUBLESHOOTING SUGGESTIONS THAT NEEDS TO BE FOLLOWED:

To resolve the issue, please perform the following steps:

1. Click on Start and Click on Control Panel.

2. Double click on Add/Remove programs Wizard and click on Add/Remove
Window components. The Windows component wizard will open up.

3. Click the "Networking services" and click on the "Details" button.

4. Check the box for Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control
Client, then check the option for Universal Plug and Play.

5. Click Next and Click Finish.

6. Click on Start, Go to control Panel and Double click on Network
connections.

7. Double Click on the "Internet Gateway" icon. This will take you to
the "Properties" window.

8. Click on the Settings button.Once the Advanced Settings window
appears, un-check every option under Services

9. Click OK on the Advanced Settings window, and click OK again on
the Internet Gateway Properties window.

Now you should be able to use MSN messenger.

Wnr834b passphrase won't work

Hello jsnow4 & cooler34788,

For vista OS;
Here are some troubleshooting steps that I suggest you try:

1. Go to "Control Panel" ( switch it to classic view )
2. Click " Network & Sharing Center"
3. At the left side of " Network & Sharing Center", click Manage Wireless Connection ( under task)
4. Delete the profiles of your Wireless connections particulary the one you named for your Netgear wireless ( this is also known as SSID).
5. Click close including "network & Sharing Center"

Connecting to a Wireless Network on Windows Vista:

a. Click Start then select Connect To.
b. Connect to a network window will show up.
c. Select your wireless network's name or SSID and click Connect.
Since this is an unsecured wireless, Vista will warn you if you wanna connect anyways. Go ahead and connect.

From the above configuration, please check if you can now access the Internet.

It's not unknown for this to occur, and usually it's caused by Windows updates. In any case, try re-installing the programs themselves to rule out a corrupt file.
