Do me a favour. Try disconnecting the battery and the power supply completely. Wait for a couple of minutes. Do not connect the battery. Connect the power cord to the laptop first and then to the wall socket. Now try turning on the PC. If it works perfectly, shutdown and disconnect the power supply. Now plug in the battery and turn on without connecting the power supply to the AC socket. Please report back as to what happens in each scenario.
