SOURCE: Water collecting in refrigerator and ice collecting in freezer

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you access to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somewhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wire around the heater( black heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now every time the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over

SOURCE: frigidaire refrigerator with ice maker leaks water

It sounds like your ice maker is leaking.
If you are able, try opening up the ice maker for a visual inspection.
just remember to unplug first.
Apparently there is a leak somewhere.
Sometimes ice makers will over flow if the float gets stuck or a connection has come loose.
If you cannot work on it yourself, then I suggest looking up a service technician on the Fixya website.

SOURCE: GE TFX20JR side by side/water leaks out freezer during defrost

Yes, you are correct, that is a drain. Use a turkey baster with hot (not boiling) water to flush out the drain tube until water will flow out into the drain pan under the refrig. (where the air blown over it will cause it to evaporate)

Water is collected at bottom of basket in freezer. What can I do ?

Hello,

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,
Gene

I have a Kenmore Model # 253.62812202 refrigerator. It collects water at the bottom of the vegee and fruit trays at the bottom of the refrigerator which eventually leaks out onto the kitchen floor. Does...

It has a clogged drain tube and bottom trays is already full.
De-clogged it using a solid wire, match enough to penetrate the drain tube.
Insert solid wire slowly to the drain tube, back and forth.
Put water to clean and rinse drain tube.
Regularly check drain tube for clogged and tray for full water.
Good luck.

Water has collected and frozen at the bottom of the freezer compartment. From time to time I get small leaks on the floor beneath.

There is a drain tube from freezer/fridge and stops under the fridge and allows water to drip into an evaporator tray. The drain tube/hose can get blocked up, it is very common. Free up the tube and you will be good to go. Sometimes just snipping on the very bottom to make a larger drain hole works too.

Water collects under the produce bins at the bottom and leaks out

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.

Amana bottom freezer: water leaking & ice build-up

There should be some kind of drain at bottom of freezer compartment to collect and run off any condensate that collects during defrost cycle.. Clean out the drain and snake out the line that leads from it. Right now the liquid is collecting where it should not and it will leak out the gasket when you have enough of it.

Water leaking below the freezer unit

I have a GE side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and have had the same problem with water pooling at the bottom of the freezer and running onto the floor. The solution is easy. There is a drain tube just behind the pull out drawer at the toward the bottom of the freezer. When that tube get's plugged, it does not allow for water to drain out into the drain pan. To solve the problem, first remove any ice build up from the bottom of the freezer and from around the drain tube opening. Then pull the freezer away from the wall and remove the cover from the bottom of the appliance. You will see a drain tube on the bottom right side. This is the tube that is plugged. Simply use a turkey baster to squirt warm water down the tube from the inside of the freezer (or anything that will allow you to squirt water into the drain tube) until water flows from the tube into the drain pan. It usually takes me 3-5 times to clear the line and once it is cleared, I run a little additional water through the line to make sure it's cleaned out well. The repair is simple and only take about 15-20 minutes.

FRIGIDAIRE FRS22ZRGD2

you may need to clean the drain tube again. the only other place that water may come from is the ice maker if it is over flowing. this however would be very obvious. use some thing like a length of cloths line cable to "snake" the drain after you defrost it. the fastest way to defrost it is to use hot water and a turkey baister. good luck.
