Yes, I have moved the mouse to a different USB port. Same message. XP cannot find driver and is asking me for an installation/driver disk

  • prinza Jul 23, 2009

No, right now nothing will work from the USB. It is detected but XP says "no driver installed"

I alreadt tried to deleted the device and reboot to detect, no good.

Do other things work on your USB port?

  • Rik Evans May 11, 2010

XP should auto recognise the mouse. Have you tried moving it to another USB port? This should activate the hardware detection again.

Hi, the CS62U is connected with an HP8750 (win2000) and a MSI WIND NETTOP 120 (win XP home). It works perfectly with the HP desktop but the mouse is not responding anymore.

Try this:
1. Disconnect your HP computer, so that only the MSI Wind is connected.
2. On the keyboard, hit [Numlock]+[-] then press [A] (this will auto-search for the computer that's connected, and connect both keyboard and mouse to that port).

Give XP a minute to detect new hardware. If XP does not detect the mouse, try plugging the mouse into a port directly on your netbook. If XP still does not detect the mouse, it's XP that's not detecting your mouse properly, not the kvm switch. :) If it does detect it, you should be able to then plug it back into your kvm switch and it should work at that point.
Note: if you get stuck with lights flashing on your keyboard, just hit [Esc] on the keyboard. That will reset the KVM switch.
Hope this helps!

Optical usb mouse cursor frozen

If it is a USB wireless then your operating system will not need any additional drivers. The USB port takes care of that. Windows XP and Vista support almost 100% of any USB wireless mouse including Logitech..I own three of them, never had a problem. The only problem would be the USB port itself. Which is a totally different subject. You can still also go into control panel and make mouse adjustments if needed.

Please rate solution.

USB mouse...(Razor)

I would check to see if, in your bios settings, that Legacy USB mouse detection is enabled.. That is usually a cause for this problem if it is not enabled....

Also, make sure the drivers you are using are for the right Operating System (ie, Vista, XP Home, XP Pro, etc...)...

Detected before, but not after. Help me please,

Go to device manager and uninstall everything under the USB heading and restart your computer. This should reinstall all the drivers and hopefully reinstall your mouse. You may need to rerun the driver you downloaded for the mouse afterwards.

My next suggestion your be to try the mouse on another computer to make sure it is not defective.
