Check to see if the wiring harnes has not come loose from the heating element. Check the heating element itself to insure that it is in good shape. To actually test a heating coil you will need an electrical meter one that has an ohm setting. Place the setting to "ohm" and disconnect the wiring from one side of the heater coil marking them to insure they go back the same way. Now take the meter connect one probe to the end of the element and the other probe to the other end of the element. If the meter gives you a signal that means you coil is good so the last thing to check would be your high limit switch. This switch turns off the heater in the event it gets too hot. They are usually preset at the factory for a specific temp. If the high limit switch has burned out heater won't work either. This switch looks like a silver button and has 2 wires going to it. Easy to remove and replace and inexpensive to buy Take model and serial numbers to appliance supply for the correct parts for you unit. Good Luck

In the two years since it last worked the gas pressure could have fallen so now it won't work and wouldn't have worked if you hadn't borrowed the relay.

On average a vehicle air-con needs a top up every couple of years so I suggest you begin by visiting your local air-con service centre.

There could be several things wrong. The unit could be undersized but since it worked fine in the beginning, we'll rule that out. There could be a refrigerant leak. Check and see if the evaporator coils (inside furnace) are sweating all the way to the top. The new refrigerant in these units makes it absolutely critical they be charged correctly. The expansion valve also requires adjusting sometimes, if so equipped. Just keep talking to the installers. It sounds like they will eventually get it right for you. Sometimes it takes several trips to get everything adjusted perfectly.

Water in the footwell????

air con evaporator drain pipe blocked or missing. condensation forms on evaporator and and must be ablr to drain out under vehicle. if drain blocked water will build up and leak into foot well. if missing water will drain directly into foot well.

Have just installed a Fujitsu Asta 24lC air con heat pump problem

Hi Shannon,
I would pursue your fight with Fujitsu, normally their units are reliable:(
It could be a really simple problem or a really complex one ranging from many componenets. A air conditioner has many more components that people may think. Keep fighting to get the unit repaired will it is still under warranty, after that Fujitsu wont want to know you. It could also be a wiring and refrigerant fault. Call Fujitsu out again.
I take the time to answer your question, so please rate me.
Thankyou Mat

THE SMELL MIGHT BE FROM MOLD DUE TO HUMIDITY COLLECTING INSIDE THE UNIT NORMALY THE GAS A A/C USES IS ODERLESS OR MIGHT BE FROM STAGNET WATER INSIDE THE UNIT.
