How do you replace faucet in shower

Most older showers have double faucets. New codes require a single handle upgrade for safety and needs to conform to codes reflecting other related codes for ADA and children/senior citizen protection. (no accidental burns from scalding water.)
If you have a double faucet system then the plumber needs to remove part of the shower wall to remove and install a new single handle system. Here is a you tube link describing the process:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_Z22YUAX0I

If you already have a newer system then you man only need a cartridge replacement (done by a plumber) Here is a links describing this process:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ohsuRhpP-c
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaHUMbUZbHk

But if you really must fix just the old two faucet system then here is a link describing washer replacement. Caution, expect to have to go to the plumbing store with all the old valve parts as there are a lot of specific parts that are needed to make a good fit. Be sure to get extra teflon tape, plumbers putty, sealant, and new handles (while your at the store.) Let everyone in the house know it might be a while before you can turn the water back on. Several trips to the store may be needed to confirm the right washers are in. Don't be surprised it it still leaks after all this work. (leaks in the main housing can not be repaired with washer replacement. The whole valve and body needs to be removed from wall and replaced. At which point the plumber will HAVE to upgrade the plumbing to conform to code.)

When both single lines are plugged into the splitter and then into port 1/2 the lines do not work. If I unplug one of the lines from the splitter line 1 will work.

Hi Amy,

I have two of these phones. The feature set is really good. The only thing missing is a "Voice Mail" indicator light. You have to pick up the line and listen for the intermittent dial tone.

The other problem is that they are not very reliable. Both of my originals developed problems with the answering machine portion, but were replaced under warranty. Have had issues with one of the replacements also and now use it with an external two-line answering machine.

Regarding your problem, there are a few possibilities. Not all phone cords are created equal. The cord that goes from the wall to the phone uses a plug/jack called RJ-11. An RJ-11 connector has room for four contacts. The contacts themselves are just gold-plated wires.

Take a very close look at all of the cords you are using, as there are two different types that look nearly identical. A single line cord will only have two wires inside, and the RJ-11 connector will only have the two center pins filled with the gold contacts. A two-line cord has four wires and the RJ-11 connectors will have four gold contacts at each end.

Once you are sure that your cords are all two-line (four gold contacts on the RJ-11 connectors), the next thing is to understand how two different lines are put into one cord.

The first (main) line will occupy the two center contacts. To add a second line, they need to connect to the two outer contacts. It may be that you need to re-wire the wall jack on one of the lines.

If they are both wired to the two center contacts, the splitter cannot do its job. The way to tell this is to make sure that each wall receptacle will give a dial tone when plugged into a single line telephone. If that is the case you will need to re-wire one of the wall outlets.

You would need to remove the wires from the center two slots on one line and insert them into the outer two slots. Take a look at what you have with regards to cords and the results of your tests with a single line phone. If you need to rewire a wall outlet, I can walk you through that.

Location of cd changer in 1998 dodge dakota slt extended cab

If it still has the factory radio in it, then the CD changer will be part of the radio, and the CD's go into the slot located in the face of the unit. The factor Dodge / Chrysler radios where double DIN, meaning that they are about 4"(100mm) tall, vs a single DIN that is closer to 2" (50mm). Most aftermarket radios are single DIN and use a filler plate to cover the extra room. If it is an aftermarket radio, and has a CD changer, then it is more than likely located under a seat, in the glove box, or in the center console of a vehicle.

Replace radiator in 2005 Ford F-350 6.0 diesel

Remove the fan shroud by disconnecting the two upper hoses and removing the two 8mm bolts that secure the shroud. Remove the four 8mm bolts that secure the rad to the rad support. Remove all the plastic pushpins that retain the site shield. Lift up site shield for access to the pushpins that secure the main battery positive cable. Tilt rad toward the front of the truck to give you the clearance needed to pull the shroud out. Disconnect the lower rad hose and the two transmission fluid cooler lines (on 2005 and up models, you'll need the line release tool). Once done, the rad simply lifts up and out with plenty of room to spare

Transmission fluid in radiator could lines be switched

no way you need a new rad to solve this one the internal tube has split or broke ,just disconnect the pipes and seal the rad connections up with a couple of blanking plugs to stop the water leaking out then the transmission pipes you make a nice sort square round out of some copper plumbing pipe and connect this to the transmission pipes from the gearbox run in front the AC rad and this will save you from buying a new rad which the last time i bought one for this motor was about 550 euros as i couldnt one made by a recon company only original part from deal;er

Leaks after shutting off

I need more information. What kind of show, double handle, single handle, the pout, the handle, the shower...it leaking. Have a single handle shower. I was pour out water.

When working with the plumbing be sure to turn the main water off.

Set a side a block of time where no one needs to use the bathroom or water. Single handle, take the outer ring off. The outer ring is what keeps the handle tight on the housing. Now, you should see two screws remove them. The handle should come out. You should see two inlets, in each inlet you should see sm. black rubber in them. replace them with new ones. reverse installation from above. and you should be good to go. turn the main water on.

How two wire 2 phone lines to onewall pug

If you can't wire the lines into the back of the wall outlet, the easiest way is to buy an plug in phone socket with a double outlet on it then use 2 extension leads.

Alternatively you can replace the single wall outlet with a double gang unit then run your extensions from it although you should not do this if it is the main phone company inlet point.

Hope this is FixYa.

Tv connector cable plug slips out

you need to replace your wall cable outlet. This can be purchased at any Radio Shack or Home Depot store. You will find two mounting screws , remove them and you will have access to the junction box. If the cable system was installed in the proper manner you will find a double male connector attached to the face plate by a single securing nut. Remove this nut and replace the double male connector. simple job, hope this was a help to you.

good luck----------------tomtaso
