Ground to neg bat termial or metal on chassis red and yellow should be live and ignition so both to pos bypassing the need for wiring to ignition stem don't worry about blue unless you have power antenna and want it to work

How to change the battery on a Hyundai Sonata

When you remove the battery to install a new one then you need to enter a radio code to get your radio working again. This is an anti-theft locking system.
To avoid reprogramming your car/radio etc. connect another battery with jumper lead to the battery leads on your car to maintain your car's settings when you disconnect the old battery from your car.
Install the new battery and connect the car's battery leads to the new battery. now you can remove the jumper leads and the second battery.
WHEN YOU CONNECT THE JUMPER LEADS, MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT POSITIVE TO POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TO NEGATIVE.ON BOTH BATTERIES.

2004 sunfire ignition key wire does it have one/ instaling new radio only have constanyt 12 volt radio power on off button does not shut off do i use this wire and where does it go the ignition wire...

Hi, your factory Sunfire wire colors are pasted below. The yellow wire should be accessory. This should connect to the stereo's red power wire. The orange "always hot" wire should connect to the stereo yellow wire--this is only used to keep your station presets in memory. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Just need a pic to see what color wire goes to each of the 20 pins on the back of the deck

Wiring Diagram / Color Codes
1. Power Antenna (dark blue wire) - Connect to power antenna or amplifier.
2. Ground (black wire) - Connect to ground terminal or clean, unpainted part of chassis.
3. Memory/Battery (yellow wire) - Connect to battery or 12 volt power source that is always on. The radio will not work if this wire is not connected.
4. Accessory/Ignition (red wire) - Connect to existing radio wire or radio fuse.
5. Left front speaker - White/Black is negative, White is positive
6. Right front speaker - Gray/Black is negative, Gray is positive
7. Left rear speaker - Green/Black is negative, Green is positive
8. Right rear speaker - Violet/Black is negative, Violet is positive
9. RCA Outputs to Amplifier - Black is front, Gray is rear
10. Auxiliary Input Cable
11. Subwoofer Output

How do i install it it was a hand me down with no instructions

http://dl.owneriq.net/a/a44b260d-f7bb-4ae7-bd9f-5a4722cb9427.pdf

in general

the positive terminal is connected to the positive of the battery

the negative terminal is connected to a metal grounding point on the car ( find a metal spot on the car to connect the negative terminal of amplifier)(do not connect it to the negative side of the battery)

the remote terminal connects to either the remote line from the back of the radio blue and white wire

if the radio does not have a remote wire then use the red wire which is the acc (check this against your car wiring)

the speakers are simple connect the positive of radio to positive terminal ect

and the input comes from the radio as a phono jack connect that to the input of the input of the amplifier right left ect ect also if the radio has only left and right then you need a splitter for the phono cable because your amp is 4 channel

if the radio does not have phono jacks then you need to take the output that usually goes to the speakers and route them to the amp and attach pho no jacks on them

How do I change the battery on a 1999 volkswagon beetle?

Open the battery compartment. Loosen the bolt on the negative battery post first. Then remove the negative cable from the battery. Do the same to the positive cable. Remove the hold down bracket with a 10mm wrench. Lift out the battery please keep in mind it has acid in it. Now replace with new battery and connect the cables negative to negative , and positive to positive. You may need to reset your radio stations on your car.
