I have a GE X5 Digital Camera how do I change from internal pictures to my sd card

1st I am surprised it didn't reset it's self when you re-inserted the card. Go into the menu and under the second to the last icon to the right is a place to change back and forth from internal to SD card. That is the only suggestion I have. My camera takes great pictures but can be temperamental- for nearly a year it simply would not turn on. I had given up on it and only gave it a try when preparing to get rid if it.

I need to format my scan disk data card using my camera

I assume by "scan disk data card" you actually mean a SanDisk brand card.
Press the [MENU] button. Select Setup (wrench icon). Select "Format memory/Format card" (camera-slash-card icon).
SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. Make sure the card is unlocked before putting it into the camera.
If you need a manual, you can download one from here. Setup menu instructions begin on page 85, formatting instructions are on page 100.

I have a SP-800UZ olympus and for a whole year i could transfer my pics with no problem to the pc. Now i cannot...the ib program does not recognize the files. Whats wrong?

Can you view the pictures in the camera directly? Are the pictures on internal memory or on placed SD card? If the pictures are NOT shown within the camera or when you put in a SD card and your pictures are on internal memory... you can change the menu settings accordingly. If pictures are not shown in the camera, you might want to try the camera Data Repair option: Manual page 41. Check if the camera is seen by the computer as USB Removeable device. You can also manually transfer the pictures with e.g. the Windows Explorer.

Hi: I have a SDHC 16GB card using by the Lumix FZ35 camera. It worked fine on the first 4 days of my trip and all of a sudden, it is now displayed with ''INSERT SD CARD AGAIN'' message whether I try to...

At any time did you insert the card into your computer to "have a look" and then remove the card without using the "safely remove hardware" function? You may now need to download the pics from your card to the computer, then format the card in the camera to get it to work properly again.

Just put a new memory card in the camera but the screen keeps showing internal memory is full

How to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
    1. Menu
    2. Cam settings
    3. Chose AUTO or SD card option and Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

If you still experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 1 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.
After you having successfully switched over to saving onto the SD card. I would guess that you would like to transferre the pictures from your internal memory over to the SD card.:

I want to take a picture of an old photograph, how do I stop the flash coming on?

    Hi there LisaMarie,

To turn off the Flash, you need to go to Menu, then go to Flash mode.
Select or highlight the icon with the flash with "slash". Exit menu. Flash mode shown by icon at bottom of monitor.

For the illustration on how to do this, you can go to page 24 of this manual.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

LCD screen and pictures go completly white

The camera is defective. But as you've only had the camera three months it still is under warranty. Canon is usually very responsive to these type of problems and will bend over backwards to make things right (probably the most responsive of the camera companies).

Call 1-800-OK-CANON to resolve this issue.

    How tu use video recording..

The picture that I posted shows a TZ3 mode dial. I added a blue arrow to point out an icon on the mode dial.
    1. Turn the mode dial on the camera so this icon is selected.
    2. Switch on the camera.
    3. Aim the camera at your subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press it fully to begin the video. (Just as you would take a picture.)
    4. To stop taking video, press the shutter button fully again.

~When a video starts being taken, its current length will appear on the camera's LCD screen.
~Videos take up more space on the memory card than do pictures.
~If an SD memory card becomes full while recording, then the video will stop automatically.
~Videos can be played back on the camera's "PLAYBACK" mode. They can also be viewed on a TV or downloaded to a computer.
