My PC beeps every time the CD-ROM drive is ...

My PC has a constant beeping sound every time the CD-ROM drive is used (have just realized that's why) anyways the board is a microstar ms-6176 i don't know if it's caused by the drive or the IDE cable or the IDE slot on the board? any help would be great. OH and the cd drive seems to be working fine as does the computer, so???

If your CD-Rom is on a separate cable slave it to your hard drive cable and see if that helps. Remember to set the jumper on the ROM to slave.
