To start check the video cable and use the Source/Input Select button on TV to check if problem depends on TV setting.

The problem can be a jammed Xbox, a cable problem, or a fault concerning XBox video adapter.

If the XBox was already working on this TV, and you did not change video settings I would exclude incorrect video settings as possible cause for the problem.

To reset the XBox unplug the power cable for ten minutes.

To exclude the chance of a cable problem, try a different cable, possibly using also a diffenrent connector.

If that does not work, test the console on a different TV, if it still does not work, the XBox may have a faulty video adapter (located on mainboard), in that case call the Microsoft support number listed on manual .

I installed homefront onto my hard drive to make my xbox 360 quieter but it doesnt say 'play from hard drive' and so i just select 'play game' and then it makes the same amount of noise....

You don't -play- the game from the harddrive, and nor does it make less noise if you install it.

When you install a game to your harddrive, it normally makes the game quicker to load, not for older games, I think Homefront is a "newer" game.

The benefits of installing the game is that your optical reader is less in use, that the game saves and loads quicklier and is normally better performance in-game.

My xbox cuts on abut wont connect

I'm thinking bad AV cable or bad port on your TV. I assume the Xbox dash board won't come up, if so the "no signal" message is a TV error message not an Xbox error message.

Try a different port on the TV and/or a different TV; also try a different AV cable.

Good luck. Please rate, thanks.

Makes sound like game is hitting something

If the games are not getting damaged this is normal xbox 360 dvd drive noise, the best thing to do is save game to hard drive, you will still need to have the game loaded but it does not spin which eliminates all the noise all you will hear is a slight buzz from the fans.

Xbox 360 turns on, but nothing shows on the screen

If the person that you bought it from on E-Bay had an HD Television. Then the Xbox console is set into HD from the Display options. If your TV is not HD, then It will not display. It can also be the other way around, if His TV is standard and yours is HD. Also try looking at the RCA's(The Part that plugs into the 360) And you will see a slider. Switch the slider, then turn it on. Tell me if that works, if Not, tell me and I will tell you what to press on your 360 controller to set the other menu. Hope this helps.
