Question about Computers & Internet
Hi. I have a Toshiba Laptop (~3 years old) that I'm using with a wireless netgear DG834G router. Recently the built in wireless modem can't find any wireless network whenever I try to refresh the network list. The wireless modem switch is on on the laptop and when I try the repair option it still does'nt work.
I know the netgear router is working fine as another laptop can find it. Has anyone any thoughts on anything else I can try with the Toshiba laptop?
I'm new to posting on this site so feel free to let me know if I've left out any vital info.
If the laptop is 3 years old then it probably requires a chipset update. Goto intel's website and use the driver update utility. If this does not work then your wireless connection may be broken. You can buy a wifi USB card for less than £10 if you shop around. Good luck
