You can try removing the CMOS battery or take it in to a good shop they have the software tweaks to do that. I know most folks are avoiding the shops for a good reason however some things just are not avoidable and by the time you learn how to crack a lost password plus purchase the software program to do it. You will already be up and running for an hours time at a shop to reset it. This is why it is critical to make a password reset disc right away or do not use a password that you will forget over time. I use the last four of my social when I use a password who can forget that..... Another option is to re-install and re-boot the computer to its factory settings using your restore software that came with your purchase.............John
shut down your computer remove the power plug and open the cover near the c mos battery you will see a three pin connector with two pin shorted with a jumper remove the jumper and replace the empty pin then the c mos then restart ur computer in some cases the computer may not work then switch off and replace the jumper back into the original position
it will reset the start up password
There is a hardware work around to get past the BIOS password. All you need to do is to remove and put back the CMOS battery inside the computer. This will fix the issue.
Compare to many password recovery solutions. Following solution is the best and the easiest one i found.
1.Download Windows Password Recovery 6.0 from Password Recovery Official site : recover lost password
2.Decompress the Windows Password Recovery 6.0 and note that there is an .ISO image file . Burn the image file onto an blank CD with the burner freely supported by Windows Password Recovery 6.0 3.Insert the newly created CD into the locked computer and re-boot it from the CD drive. 4.After launched the CD, a window pop up with all your account names(if you have several accounts); select one of the accounts that you have forgotten its password to reset it. Just one press, you have removed the password.
You can disable bios security passwords by disabling them. Go to bios by pressing F2 at splashscreeen. Find administrative passwords and then disable. You will need to enter the password to disable.
If the password you speak of is not in the bios but the windows. Go to control panel, users and remove password.
