I had a friend with one of these. The screen lock requires the Google Mail login credentials. I think it's the credentials that were used to setup the tablet. Good luck.
Typicallyu you can turn the tablet off. Tap the power button then press and hold either power + vol down or power + vol up until you get a menu. Navigate to Factory Reset.
