SOURCE: draining extra water
Cut off the zip tie that holds the drain tube. Bring the drain tube as close to the ground as possible and siphon out the water - yes, that means sucking on that hose. Have a bowl handy to collect the water, or do it somewhere you don't mind getting wet. Just keep the end of the hose lower than the basin of water and you should have no problems.

Hi
There can be two possibilities, one if it has a belt, it is either stretched or slipping or if it doesnt have a belt then there is a clutch like device between the motor and the basket, which is either broke or cracked.
Or follow this easy steps...
Unplug the washer and turn off the water faucets.
Disconnect the water hoses and the drain hose and pull the washer away from the wall, leaving yourself enough room to work behind the appliance.
Lay an old towel down to kneel on and soak up any water that leaks from the hoses.
Remove the rear access panel.
Locate the motor. The rubber drive belt goes around a pulley wheel attached to the motor.
Press on the belt. If it gives more than ¾ inch or so, it needs to be tightened.
Loosen the mounting nut for the motor and push the entire motor to increase the tension on the belt.
Hold the motor in place and tighten the mounting nut.
Make sure you don't tighten the belt too much or it will break. You should be able to press on it and feel it give just slightly.
Replace the drive belt if it shows signs of wear.

yes the water inlet valve is bad! might be easier to remove the base, when you remove the base the back stays connected to the frame. just unplug the machine, remove the end caps on your control panel and remove the screws holding it on, them pull slightly forward and up to fllip the control panel back it has plastic hinges on top,be careful not to break them. then unplug your lid switch, with a screwdriver remove the 2 gold clips that hold the base to the back panel, then open your lid lift from back towards you and the whole base will come off leaving the back panel and frame, should be a whole lot easier to replace the valve, then replace reversing your steps , when you are lifting off the base look at the bottom of machine through your lid and you can see how to put it back on the frame! not to hard!

It appears your coupling or drive belt has failed in this instance.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
