Question about Insignia D300a PC Desktop
Does anybody know the proper modem driver for the Insignia D300? I purchased a used unit and it came installed with a SoftV92 Data Fax modem driver, but I got terrible results connecting to the Internet (28-31 kbps). I replaced it with a Generic SoftK56 driver and am connecting at a more reasonable 45 kbps, but I think I could do even better if I had the correct driver. My old computer used to connect at 53kbps on the same phone line. Thanks for any suggestions!
If the modem is working, that is all that matters. A different driver is not going to change anything. The line sync speed that you are talking about is not a big deal. It is going to vary nearly everytime you connect, no matter what, and is not an accurate indication of actual download speeds.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
