Re: not all the speakers are working

Hi Deadking

You have to look in the back, and down where the lan are, is the 5.1 sound card, you have some inputs there, I dunno what brand of speakers you have, but commonly you have to put according with colors, green, black, orange, or if you have only 2 speakers, just put on the black or green output. turn up the volume in control panel, and see if not on mute. good luck

We set up the logitech x-350 speakers with a pavilion slimline 2009 hp pc and all but two speakers work, how can i fix this problem?

So on my speaker system (the same one) The nob broke off, but it started with only a few of them not working (mainly the back ones) I took a part the main speaker (the one with the control nob) and found that the nob its self was not set on the circuit board properly, check if yours is connected completely. There should be 6 brown peaces of plastic connecting the volume nob to the circuit board, if any of these are disconnected or not completely level then that is what is causing your problem. Be careful reattaching them and make sure the system is not on when you do because you might risk blowing all the speakers plugged in. Each part connected to the volume nob is a speaker, the nob controls each one if they are not connected then the speaker wont work at all.
If that does not work then you should try checking each wire connected to the speaker, when you pick it up or move it around the speaker may become active and turn off depending on how you hold or move the wire, this would be because your wire is fragmented, and you could try replacing it but I am not sure how effective that would be.
Glad I could help - Ben

Ok, I got some JBL platinum series speakers and my Asus recognizes that i plugged something into the audio jack but the speakers dont light up when I turn them on, is this an issue with the speakers or the...

try to hook the speakers to a different device like an ipod, etc, and try a different outlet for the power supply of the speaker if it does have one. also try a different speaker or even an earphone to your pc for you to know what really is causing the problem.

Bose companion 2 speakers not working with the HP slimline

Speakers are speakers. They should not need configuring if they are funtional and powered up. The speaker out jack does not know the difference from bose to sparkamatic.

I dont know how to get my speakers working

The audio cable on the speakers should go into the green audio port on the back or your PC. Once that is plugged in, if you still don't have sound go into your sounds and audio devices in the control panel and make sure the volume is not off or muted.

Bose Companion 3 Series II not working (Mac)

The speakers seem to be muted by default - you'll see that the LED is yellow/amber. Tap the control pod - the LED will turn green and speakers will work. I felt like such an idiot after I spent almost an hour trying to figure this out. (This feature should be more prominent in the manual.)

Sound card

Remove cover and find a slot which is made for the card you have to install. Plug in the slot plush so you can place a screw to hold card, (be sure the power cord isn't plugged in while working inside)Once installed in computer, plug in and have drivers disc ready in rom. When new hardware is found, send to disc, if doesn't find new hardware run the setup on drivers disc. Good luck Jimmyriggs

I only hear sound out of two speakers........

Have you set the computer up for 4.1 speakers in the audio software? Go to start control panel and click on sound's speech and audio device's, then click on sound's and audio device's. A window should pop up with a load of menus at the top, click on the one that says volume. Where it says speaker settings click on the advanced button. Click on the menus until the picture lookslike your system you have.
