Gateway computer. OS windows XP

Before I took the computer to geek squad, I could here the computer turning on, just nothing displayed on the monitor.

best buy's diagnosis was bad motherboard. they also stated replacement would cost about 600. that doesnt sound reasonable to me. I can probably buy a new computer for about 400.

what should i do?

Hi, I think your computer OS will be corrupted , reinstall your OS windows xp is better to check your computer that problem comes from software or hardware

You could replace the motor board for less than $100 but I think the geek squad says the motor board is bad on every computer that doesn't start right up for them so I would have someone else look at it first. Or just get a new computer at walmart for like $300
