Vivitar t324n new batteries still won't work.

The T324N is powered only by batteries. Hooking it up to a computer simply drains the batteries faster since the camera has to expend juice communicating with the computer (even if only to say it has nothing to say).

Try connecting ur camera to your computer with the SD card n sync the camera and it should give u the option to change settings and sd card settings.

If you haven't already...I'd try new batteries and use good ones like Energizer Lithiums. Some electronic devices are sensitive to lower battery voltages.

You don't really need the Vivitar software.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

The camera erases pictures off my memory card. This has happened with 2 different memory cards.
