Bamboo Fun Tablet has no pressure sensitivity

My brother installed a new anti-virus and firewall on our computer today and now the pressure sensitivity on my tablet won't work. I tried re-installing the software, restarting the computer and clearing the preferences but nothing has worked. I even turned off the new programs and it still won't work. The programs are -Avira AntiVir Personal- and -Online Armor-. I also use Windows if that has anything to do with it.

SOURCE: Bamboo fun tablet pen not working

After having almost the same problem (I did not check to see if the eraser was working), I changed the nub (my bamboo came with a little bundle with tree of them. You can change it by bitting the tip to get it out and them inserting a new one.)

The thing is, it did not work at all at the time, but after the week end it came back...

Not much help...

SOURCE: Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

Hello,

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009

This update should allow Vista to find it.

Why has my bamboo pen and tablet become so sensitive?

I've had the intuos and it worked for years without incident. I have the bamboo and after only a few months it's having issues. WTF is up with that?! I've already changed the nub out once. It worked fine for a while but now... I have to double click to get it to release anything it grabs onto. As a graphic artist where precision is involved... that's very bad.

I think it's time to contact their customer service.

That happened to me yesterday. What I did was I went to the wacom site here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php, selected my tablet make and operating system, and downloaded the driver update. I installed it and as soon as it was done my pen started working again. Hopefully this works for you too!

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

I think you need to select the right tool to use with the tablet, I like to use the tablet with the lasso tool. If you want to draw use Adobe Illustrator. If it works as a mouse I think you just need to learn how to use the software you are dealing with.

Bamboo Fun has a mind of its own

This problem is farly common but the solution may anger you. Buy a new one.
I know this from experience, I had this for 11 months and over time the tablet will glitch. But all things considered, the thing IS only $70.00 so there is no big loss there.
It's because the Bamboo tablet is cross-circuited to the pen through a mini WiFi connection (No Charge time) so over time, yes it will glitch.
Suggestion: Buy a new one
