If you have 12v going into the head unit from ignition key circuit than the head unit should turn on. Does it turn on? If not did you check that there was 12v on the yellow wire coming in (usually yellow) to the back harness of radio. (OEM drawings are available online)? If you have power there and unit won't power up then you likely have a bad head unit. Depending on model it can be cheap and easy or more hard and expensive.

No sound coming out for my hartke amps?

Are the internal speakers properly connected via the rear-mounted 1/4 inch "Speaker Output" jack? If so and still no sound, try connecting a separate external speaker (floor monitor, pa cabinet) for a "low volume" test.

The OM says the internal speakers are 4 ohm so it's unlikely that a wiring problem with speaker connections would cause all four to stop working. With AC power disconnected from outlet check for an internal speaker protection fuse BUT be careful. Charged capacitors can hold a charge for weeks!!!

It sounds like you are using an amplifier. Make sure you are using the blue/white wire to turn the amplifier on. The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on and the blue wire is power antenna remote turn on. The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, turning the amplifier off.

Bad ground sounds like you may have paint or undercoating stopping the ground from making good contact or unhook the remote wire and run a small wire from the main power to the remote hook up and see if it works ...... May have a faulty remote

Everytime i hook up the power source it fries the fuse

usually this happens because A: The speaker wires are shorted, B: if not this then usually the "Output" devices, the IC's or transistors that "Drive" the speakers has faulted, a very common occurance, it also may be a polarity issues. Check for shorts on the speaker wires make sure the wires for power are ok.

NEW AMPLIFIER WILL NOT LIGHT UP OR POWER UP

It sounds like your saying that you have two identical amp, that both are on the same power wires and remote wires and sam grounds? Well if thats the case then you did ok as One amp sounds like its blown. First tghing is check the main fuse. If its good and the unit still dosent resond then the power supply in the amp is blown as theres a switching supply that increases the 12 volts to get power to drive the Mosfet output devices. Was it ever working?? yes then the amp needs service. Do you know how to work on solid state elctronics down to componet level?? No?? Ok contact these folks at the addy im posting for you or take the amp to your local servicer. Good Luck. [email protected]
