I have tedelex EC2159 remote codes it should be 3 digits not 4

If having hassles with the channel auto search you can always try entering the channels manually.

I usually get remotes from a cheap Chinese shop. They have codes for most TV makes. Incidentally, they also do remotes for aircon units. If no local shops, you'll get one on ebay.

Depending on the age of your magnavox remote, it may require a 3 digit or 4 digit code. Check the manual of your magnavox remote and see if it requires 3 or 4 digit codes. Once you know what type of codes the remote requires, use the 3 or 4 digit code banks below. Start with the first code in each listing and continue down the list until you find one that works.

You have probably tried this but I will go over it anyway. If it dosn't work we will try something else.
From the video menu on the tv, select the tuning band of CABLE not AIR. Then do a Auto-Channel Search.
From what I gather you have basic cable without a cable box correct?
Let me know what you find and we will go from there.
