Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

First of all, if you've edited the pictures in any way (opening a picture in a photo editing program and then saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera most likely won't be able to display the images.

You can transfer files (not just pictures) to the memory card using a card reader. Plug the card into the reader and it will appear to your computer as another hard drive. Simply drag-n-drop files to it the same way you copy other files on your computer.

The EOS cameras have some sort of sensor built in to tell the camera which way the shot should be orientated on screen and when they are transferred to the computer.
It sounds like the sensor is jammed or broken and sensing (for some reason) that the camera is upside down when the shot is taken.
If you don't want to pay to have it repaired you can use a program to rotate them or turn of the image rotate option in the menu. I believe this ignores the sensor information.

You haven't given us much to work with. Unless you've deleted the pictures on purpose or formatted the card, your pics are still there. You could get a card reader and use it to download your pics to a computer. You could also take the card to a store like Walmart and use one of their picture kiosk machines to either print the pics or even make a cd copy of them.

I would take the battery out to reset it and put the chip in and then the battery and fire it up.
You can also clear the sd card in windows to avoid naming issues
After the card is accepted format it with the camera so the directory structure on the sd is restored

You can't transfer pics from your computer to your camera...it only works from camera to computer.

once u ve connected the camera with the computer a folder , a new harddrive opens up inside ur my computer.

now open the drive.

go to images/gallery or photos (the names of the folders are subject to change)

now copy the pictures u wanna transfer back to ur cam from ur computer and

paste them inside the image folder of the new drive that s present in my computer

you want to put the pictures from your computer back onto the camera? you can use a card reader and do a file transfer (drag and drop).

Transfer the folder to your computer, along with any other pictures you want to save. To do this use a card reader, not the camera. Then click and drag the folder onto your desktop. After you will format the card using your camera (press menu then under the setup tab [yellow colored]) - this will delete all the pictures on your card so make sure they transfered onto your computer. Take a random picture on the camera to generate a new folder. If you want to put the pictures back onto the card so you can view them with the camera (not necessary), you should put the card back into the card reader, then open the dcim folder. you will see a folder which says Canon###, copy that name and make sure it matches the name of the folder you previously copied onto your desktop. click and drag the folder back onto the memory card to replace the existing folder in there (the random picture you took will be over written, so if you liked it transfer it first). That should have covered it...i know i made this very wordy, sorry, but i'm used to explaining these things to my parents who don't even know how to turn on their camera.

transfer it to a usb flash drive
